Medication scanning with iPhone. Nurses use the Epic Rover or Stryker Sync app to make sure the right patient gets the right medication at the right time. They simply scan the patient’s wristband to ID the patient, and then scan the medication, blood product or breast milk. This scanning feature increases patient safety, and eliminates the need for tethered scanners, allowing for more personal interactions between clinicians and patients.

Easy documentation. iPhone and iPad work with electronic health records (EHR) apps to give providers easy access to patient records on the go. Nurses can document a patient’s vitals as they are taking them with voice dictation on iPhone. And paramedics can update a patient’s status onsite with iPad. This flexibility saves providers time so that they can deliver quality care even faster.

Blood loss estimation with Triton AI. Care teams use the cameras on iPhone and the Triton AI app to estimate surgical blood loss in real time. Triton AI helps clinicians detect haemorrhage early, in turn decreasing post-partum blood transfusions and labour costs.
